Policies for Appix apps

This page explains how Appix apps handle your data, and the terms they are provided under. It applies to every app Appix publishes on Atlassian Marketplace. App-specific terms are listed at the end of the page.

Privacy policy

Appix ("we", "us") builds apps for Atlassian cloud products ("Apps"). This privacy policy explains what information our Apps process and how we handle it. Our Apps are built on Atlassian Forge and run on Atlassian's cloud infrastructure. Appix does not operate any servers that receive, store or process data from your Atlassian site.

For data processed by our Apps inside your Atlassian site ("Customer Data"), your organization is the controller and Appix acts as a processor on your organization's behalf.

Data our Apps process

  • Content in your Atlassian site. An App reads and writes data through Atlassian's APIs only when a user asks it to perform an action, for example cloning a project or copying tickets. It uses only the data needed for that action.
  • Atlassian account IDs. These are used to check who can use an App, to record who started an action, and in App logs.
  • App data. These include access lists, configuration and job history created while the App is used, and for Excel Exporter, templates, schedules and generated report files.

None of our Apps collect or store passwords or Atlassian API tokens, use AI or machine-learning services, or sell or share Customer Data for advertising.

Email addresses and names. ProjectClone Pro (version 4.1.0 and later) does not read, log or store email addresses or display names. ProjectClone (Free) has Atlassian permission to read user profiles and email addresses. If you have questions about how it handles that information, email support@appix.ca. Excel Exporter reads display names only to show who a template is shared with and does not store them. Its Excel files contain the Jira fields a user chooses, which can include people's display names (for example Assignee, Reporter or comment authors). It does not read, export or store email addresses. Each App lists the permissions it requests on its Atlassian Marketplace listing and when it is installed.

Where data is stored

App data is stored in Forge storage within your Atlassian environment. It follows the data residency of your Atlassian site and is protected by Atlassian's infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest. App logs are kept in Atlassian's Forge logging service, and only authorized Appix developers can see them, through Atlassian's developer console. ProjectClone Pro logs contain account IDs and technical events only. Excel Exporter logs contain account IDs, technical events and the names of templates and reports.

Information you send us

  • Support requests. When you email support, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in the message. We use this only to answer your request, and keep it only as long as needed to resolve it and keep a record of support. Please don't send passwords, API tokens or confidential project content.
  • Marketplace and licensing. Atlassian shares licensing details with Marketplace partners under Atlassian's Marketplace terms, such as the licensed site and its technical or billing contact. We use these only for licensing, billing and support.
  • Analytics. Our Atlassian Marketplace listings may send page-view analytics to our Google Analytics account. Our Apps send no analytics from inside your Atlassian site. This website uses no tracking cookies; it only remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser.

Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell personal information. Customer Data is hosted and processed by Atlassian (Forge hosting, storage and logs). Support email is handled by our email provider. We do not otherwise share Customer Data unless the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

Each App keeps only the data it needs. App-specific retention periods are listed under App-specific terms. When an App is uninstalled, its stored data is removed through Atlassian's Forge data deletion process.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Because your organization controls the Customer Data in its Atlassian site, please contact your Atlassian site administrator first. We will help your organization respond to any request. You can also contact us at support@appix.ca.

Security practices for our Apps are described on our Security policy page. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page.

Terms of use

Each App is licensed through Atlassian Marketplace. The App is provided under the end user license agreement selected on its Marketplace listing, which is the standard Marketplace agreement based on the Bonterms Cloud Terms, together with the provider-specific terms below. Purchases, trials, renewals and refunds are handled by Atlassian under the Atlassian Marketplace terms.

Provider-specific terms

  • Provider. Apps are provided by Appix.
  • Hosting. Apps run on Atlassian Forge. Appix does not operate servers that receive, store or process Customer Data.
  • Customer responsibility. Customers are responsible for how their users use an App, including reviewing changes before making them. Customers should keep their own backups of their Atlassian data.
  • Platform limitations. Apps can only do what Atlassian's APIs allow. Each App's limitations are described in its documentation and below.
  • Support. Support is provided by email at support@appix.ca. See our Support page.

App-specific terms

These terms add to the policies above for each App.

PCPROJECTCLONE PRO FOR JIRA CLOUD

ProjectClone Pro

ProjectClone Pro is provided by Appix.

Hosting and data

ProjectClone Pro is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian's cloud infrastructure. Appix does not operate any servers that receive, store or process Customer Data. App data (settings, cached project and scheme lists, permission lists and job history) is stored in Forge storage within the customer's Atlassian environment.

Copy from another site

When a customer uses Copy from another site, project configuration, tickets and attachments are transferred directly between the customer's own paired Jira Cloud sites through Atlassian-hosted endpoints. Connections are read-only, limited to projects chosen by the source site's administrator, and can be revoked at any time. The customer is responsible for ensuring it is authorized to move data between those sites.

Data retention

Job history is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Uninstalling the app removes its stored data in line with Atlassian's Forge data deletion process.

Limitations

Jira does not allow any app to preserve original created dates, original creators, change history or comment authorship. Copied comments are labelled with the original author and date. Team-managed projects cannot be cloned.

Customer responsibility

Customers should review the pre-copy summary before starting a copy and keep their own backups. Appix is not responsible for changes made in Jira as a result of copies started by the customer's users.

Support

Support is provided by Appix at support@appix.ca. Please include the Job ID shown in the app when reporting a problem.

EXCEL EXPORTER FOR JIRA CLOUD

Excel Exporter

Excel Exporter is provided by Appix.

Hosting and data

Excel Exporter is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian's cloud infrastructure. It makes no connections outside Atlassian, and Appix does not operate any servers that receive, store or process Customer Data. App data (templates, schedules, generated Excel report files, access settings and the activity log) is stored in Forge storage within the customer's Atlassian environment. Only Atlassian account IDs are stored to identify people.

What reports contain

A report contains the Jira fields chosen in its template, for the tickets the user running it is allowed to see in Jira. Every ticket is checked against that user's Jira permissions, including issue security, before it is written to the file. Reports are visible only to the user who ran them, or to the owner of the schedule that created them. Once a user downloads a report, the file is under the customer's control.

Data retention

Generated report files are deleted automatically after 30 days, and users can delete their own reports sooner. The activity log is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Uninstalling the app removes its stored data in line with Atlassian's Forge data deletion process.

Limitations

A report includes up to 20,000 tickets and files up to 20 MB. Excel Exporter only reads from Jira; it never creates, changes or deletes Jira data. Saved filters appear in the app only if they are owned by, or shared with, the user in Jira.

Customer responsibility

Customers decide which fields their templates export and who templates are shared with, and are responsible for how downloaded files are stored and shared.

Support

Support is provided by Appix at support@appix.ca.
